The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development received an official abbreviated name

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a new abbreviated name for the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.

Now the department will be officially called the “Ministry of Restoration”. The changes were made by Resolution No. 1545 of December 31, 2024, the ministry reported.

In addition to updating the name, the government has supplemented the list of tasks of the Ministry. They concern the implementation of state policy in the field of protecting the rights of forcibly displaced persons, reintegration of citizens from temporarily occupied territories, support for internally displaced persons, restoration and development of temporarily occupied regions after their reintegration.

Also among the new tasks is compliance with international humanitarian law throughout the territory of Ukraine, with the exception of coordinating the search for missing persons.

The name “Ministry for Restoration” has long been used in everyday communication, and is now officially enshrined in government documents, which simplifies its use in business documentation and communications.

Earlier, USM reported that the Cabinet of Ministers had again renamed the Ministry of Infrastructure.
