The port of Izmail has handled 9 million tons of cargo since the beginning of 2023

As of June 22, from the beginning of 2023, the cargo handling volume of the Izmail Sea Port reached 9 million tons.

Such indicators exceed the freight turnover for the entire year 2022, which amounted to 8.89 million tons, the press service of the Ukrainian Agricultural and Food Industry Agency writes.

At the beginning of May, the port operators set a new record — they handled 6 million 187 thousand tons of cargo since the beginning of the year. This is a record for the entire history of the port’s performance of annual indicators.

Also, on July 21, a ship with a record deadweight and record length entered Izmail port for loading. The deadweight of Moayad Y is almost 24,000 tons, and the length is 154 meters.
