The port of Izmail received a ship of record length

A vessel with a record deadweight and record length entered Izmail Port for loading.
On Wednesday, July 21, two new achievements were made at the Izmail MTP. A bulk carrier with a deadweight of almost 24,000 tons came in for loading, informs SE “IZM MTP”.

Dry cargo Moayad Y (IMO: 9135482) will be loaded with grain. The deadweight of the vessel is almost 24,000 tons, and the length is 154 meters. The bulker was built in 1996, it sails under the flag of Comoros.
The destination country of grain export is Egypt.
As previously reported by USM, in June 2023, Ukraine planned to start consultations with the European Commission, Romania and member countries of international environmental conventions on the issue of dredging the Bystre estuary.
Background.
As of 2021, SE “IZM MTP” had 24 moorings with a total length of 2,618.6 m. The capabilities of the berths of SE “IZM MTP” allowed to receive and place for cargo operations vessels with a draft of up to 7 meters, a length of up to 150 meters, a width of up to 30 meters, with a deadweight of up to 6,000 tons.
