The queue of ships near the Sulina Canal on the Danube has decreased

As of May 25, about six vessels are expected to pass through the Sulina and Bystre canals, while about 25 vessels are heading to Ukrainian deep-water ports.
Stable weather conditions remain in the Danube region, and the number of vessels in the queue to pass through the Sulina Canal has decreased. This was reported by Avalon Shipping Operations Manager Kateryna Kononenko.
According to her, as of May 25, about six vessels are in the Sulina and Bystre directions, while about 25 vessels are heading to Ukrainian deep-water ports.
At the same time, two voyages to the port of Reni were canceled last week. The reasons for the cancellations are not specified.
The maximum safe draft for passage through the Sulinsky Canal is currently 7.01 m, for the Bystre Canal – 5.5 m.
On the approach to Izmail in the area of the 44th mile, the maximum safe draft is 7.5 m.
Previously, USM reported that sea export of metal in containers has almost disappeared from Danube ports.
