The SBU hit two tankers of the Russian “shadow fleet”, enemy aircraft were unable to protect them

The sanctioned tankers Louise 1 and Banda were targeted by Mamai naval drones. This year alone, Louise 1 transported almost 3 million tons of Russian oil.
The Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Navy, struck the Louise 1 and Banda tankers in the Black Sea. This was reported by the SBU press service.
Both vessels are part of the Russian Federation’s “shadow fleet” and are under Ukrainian sanctions. The Mamai naval drones were targeted.
The Louise 1 tanker is involved in the transportation of Russian crude oil, bypassing the G7 and EU embargoes. The vessel exported products from Russian ports in the Baltic and Black Seas, disabling the automatic identification system. In 2026 alone, it transported almost 3 million tons of Russian Urals oil.
The Banda tanker also transported Russian oil – from the ports of Ust-Luga, Kerch, Novorossiysk and Nakhodka.
During the attack, enemy aircraft tried to counter the drones: they fired machine guns and dropped bombs, but to no avail.
The SBU emphasizes that the destruction of the ships of the “shadow fleet” deprives the Kremlin of funds for the war. It is these tankers that, despite sanctions, transport Russian oil and fill the budget of the aggressor state with billions of dollars. Therefore, each such ship is a legitimate target.
The day before, USM wrote that Russia had activated “gray” maritime fuel supply schemes after the strikes on the refinery.
