The SBU told how they attacked the Crimean Bridge with naval drones

The Security Service of Ukraine told how they attacked the Crimean bridge with Sea Baby sea attack drones.

Last year, on July 17, the SBU and the Navy used five Sea Baby drones to attack the bridge. SBU spokesman Artem Dekhtyarenko stated this on the air of the telethon, Ukrinform reports.

Before the attack, the agencies carefully prepared and tested the drones. On July 16, the SBU and the Navy launched five drones, which at that time could carry up to 800 kg of explosives to a distance of up to 800 km, even in a moderate storm.

The drones were on their way to the target for more than 20 hours, after which one of them hit the support of the car cover, and the second hit a railway support.

According to Dekhtyarenko, the goal of the SBU was to create drones that would not be seen by enemy radar devices, and it succeeded.

On the way to the bridge, the drones had to change their route, which added another 70 km to the journey. Drones had to be accelerated, which also increased fuel consumption. Also, on the way, the drones had to pass oncoming tugs and tankers in order not to collide with them. In the end, the UAVs achieved their goal, and since then the Crimean bridge has not been fully functional.

Previously, USM reported that the Dutch company was fined for participating in the construction of the Crimean bridge.
