Turkey likely refused to accept Russian ship Panormitis with stolen grain

The bulk carrier Panormitis, which had previously refused to unload in the Israeli port of Haifa, has left the anchorage of the Turkish port.
This was reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Peacemaker Center.
According to her, on May 17, the Panormitis (IMO:9445021) left the anchorage of the Turkish port of Iskenderun.
“There are no official reports yet, but it seems that Turkey has refused to accept a ship carrying grain from the occupied territories of Ukraine. I remind you that this is the second country to respond to Ukraine’s appeal; before that, a bulk carrier with stolen grain was not accepted in Israel,” said Kateryna Jaresko.
As a reminder, the bulk carrier Panormitis was heading to Haifa with a cargo of 6,201.56 tons of wheat and 19,043.73 tons of barley from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Later it became known that the Israeli importing company refused to unload the grain stolen by Russia in Ukraine in Haifa due to the risk of international sanctions. Ukraine also sent Israel a package of documents for the arrest of the Russian ship with the stolen Ukrainian grain.
On May 7, the Russian ship left Israel, and on May 13 it arrived in Turkey.
