Ukraine presented the Chornomorsk port concession project in Warsaw

Representatives of the Ministry of Development took part in the Investment Conference on the implementation of the concession project in the port of Chornomorsk, which took place on April 24 in Warsaw.
As reported by the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territorial of Ukraine, the presentation of the concession project of the Chornomorsk Container Terminal was the central event of the conference.
The Ministry of Development recalled that this is a long-term concession for 40 years, covering two terminals: container and universal, with a potential of up to 760 thousand TEU and over 5 million tons of cargo annually.
“The scale of the restoration requires the active involvement of business – both Ukrainian and international. The port of Chornomorsk is a vivid example of how international business can join the creation of new infrastructure on the basis of transparency, efficiency and commercial feasibility,” said First Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories Alena Shkrum in her speech.
The Ukrainian side presented to the conference participants key aspects of the concession project in Chornomorsk – from the terminal’s potential to the specific conditions of the competition and measures taken by the government and partners to ensure transparency and investment attractiveness.
“The concession of the container terminal in the port of Chornomorsk is not just an infrastructure project. It is an opportunity for investors to become part of the new logistics system of the Black Sea. Most importantly, it demonstrates that Ukraine is not waiting for peace to develop port infrastructure – the country is investing now, involving the private sector in this process,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Andriy Kashuba. In early April, it became known that a feasibility study had already been agreed on the concession of the container terminal in the port of Chornomorsk.
