Ukraine proposes to further reduce the “ceiling” of prices for Rosneft
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine wants to further reduce the “ceiling” of prices for Russian oil – to $45 or $30 per barrel.
This year, Russia will receive twice as much income from the export of oil products. This is influenced by the oil embargo and the reduction of price caps, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reports.
Ukraine also offers to lower the “ceiling” of prices even more.
“The issue of reducing the price cap on crude oil and oil products is constantly in the focus of Ukraine’s attention. If last year Russia’s oil and gas exports amounted to $349 billion, then this year, according to experts’ forecasts, the Russian Federation will receive about $173 billion from these exports,” the ministry’s press service reported.

Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev notes that the Ukrainian side is seeking to lower the “ceiling” of prices from $60 per barrel to $45 or even $30. This will make it possible to cut these revenues for Russia’s war even more.
