Ukraine will show a film about the deoccupation of Snake Island

On the air of the national telethon on March 15, the film “The Sea. Battle for Snake Island”. He talks about the deoccupation of Zmiinyi Island.

“Today at 21:15, the film “The Sea. Battle for Snake Island”. The second work from Artem Shevchenko’s documentary series “Military intelligence of Ukraine: on the sea, in the sky, on the ground” is dedicated to the de-occupation of a Ukrainian island strategically important for security in the Black Sea, says the press service of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine .

As noted, the film shows for the first time the footage of the special operation from the landing and assault of Zmiynyi, which was carried out by the soldiers of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

As Ukrinform writes, in February, a series of three documentary films “Military Intelligence of Ukraine: on the sea, in the sky, on the ground” dedicated to combat operations with the participation of servicemen of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine of the MoU in 2022 was presented. The tapes used exclusive footage of the work of special forces and covered the operation on Azovstal, the Kharkiv offensive and the liberation of Zmiinyi Island.

Russian troops captured Snake Island on the first day of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24. On June 30, the Ukrainian military completely liberated Zmiiny and forced the occupiers to leave it. The Ministry of Defense of russian federation confirmed the escape of its soldiers, calling it a “gesture of goodwill.”
