Ukrainian Navy is recruiting crew for the first Ada-class corvette

The Naval Forces of Ukraine has begun to form a crew for the first Ada-class corvette. Now the ship is being built in Turkey.

First, theoretical training waits for the future crew, and then – training in qualified professions, Militarny reports, citing his own sources in the national fleet.

The ship recruits not only active professionals from the national fleet, but also everyone who wants to become navy mariners.

Construction work on the Ada corvette had begun in January this year. At the moment, several sections have already been formed. The ceremony for the laying of the first corvette hull for the Ukrainian Navy is scheduled for this month.

The contract for the construction of the ship was signed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with Turkish companies in December 2020. The work was started after the Turkish side received an allowance, and the construction is now proceeding according to the schedule.
