Ukrainian ports processed almost 90 million tons of cargo
In January-November, Ukrainian seaports processed 89.8 million tons of cargo.
This significantly exceeds the volume achieved in the same period of 2023 (52.9 million tons), the USPA reported.
Agricultural products traditionally remain the basis of cargo traffic – its share amounted to 55 million tons. This result confirms the importance of ports in ensuring the export of Ukrainian grain to world markets, which contributes to strengthening food security.
November 2024 was especially productive – 7.5 million tons of cargo were processed per month, which is 41% more than in November last year.
The USP noted that Ukrainian seaports remain a reliable bridge for world trade, despite today’s challenges. Thanks to the coordinated work of port workers and the support of international partners, it is possible to maintain high rates of cargo transshipment.
Earlier, USP reported that an export support regime has come into effect in Ukraine.
