USPA branches were protected in case of blackouts
Ukraine provided the branches of the port administrations of Great Odesa with protection in case of long-term power outages.
Thus, six Volvo diesel generators with a capacity of 550 kVA based on Iveco vehicles were delivered to the Black Sea branch of SE “USPA”, USPA reported.
The equipment was transferred within the framework of the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Japan on technical cooperation and grant assistance. This is an emergency recovery and reconstruction project implemented through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
On December 5, a handover ceremony of mobile power supply vehicles took place in Kyiv. The permanent representative of the JICA office in Ukraine, Sugimoto Satoshi, and Deputy Chairman of USPA Serhii Kovshar took part in the ceremony.
Diesel generators are planned to be used in case of long-term disconnection of critical infrastructure facilities from power supply networks. According to the total capacity, the generators will be able to fully meet the electricity needs of the branch offices of the ports of Great Odesa. And given the mobility of the equipment, if necessary, they can be sent to any branch of the administration.
