Volumes of grain transportation to Slovakia increased by more than 40%


In May, the volume of grain transfers by rail from Ukraine to Slovakia increased.

During the five days of May, the volume of transfer of grain cargoes through the Ukrainian-Slovak railway crossings increased by 12.2 wagons, or 42.2%, reports Rail.insider.

On average, about 41 wagons of grain are delivered to Slovakia. This is 12.2 units (or 42.2%) more than in April.

At the border crossings with other countries, there is a reduction in the transfer of grain. The largest drop in the number of wagons with grain was recorded in Romania. Yes, currently only 25.4 units are transferred per day – by 21.8 wagons, or 46.2%, less, compared to April.

Grain wagons heading across the Ukrainian-Hungarian border decreased by nine units, or 27.8%. The average daily figure is 23.4 cars.

About 69.4 wagons with grain go to Poland. Compared to April, the indicator decreased by 8.6 units, or 11%.
