Yuzhny port transshipped 9 million tons of cargo in seven months

According to the results of January-July, the cargo turnover of SE “Commercial Sea Port “Yuzhny” amounted to 9.132 million tons, including export cargo – 6.274 million tons.

“We are constantly working to increase the cargo turnover rates. Our results reflect the team’s aspiration to be a powerful stevedore of the country. Today, we are significantly improving infrastructure and technology to ensure stable productivity and profitability,” said the Acting Director of the State Enterprise “CSP “Yuzhny” Alexander Oleinik.

According to the press service of the enterprise, last month the state stevedore transshipped 1.493 million tons of cargo.

The processing of export cargo increased by 21% compared to July 2020 – up to 1.338 million tons. Including the transshipment of iron ore raw materials increased by 23% – up to 1.297 million tons. At the berths of the SE “CSP “Yuzhny”, 14 vessels were handled, including 7 large-capacity bulk carriers of the capesize type.
