During this time, Ukraine’s exports have reached 53 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, the Ukrainian sea corridor is working despite all the challenges of the war, despite Russia’s constant attacks on Ukrainian ports.
“One hundred million tons of cargo have been transported in a year and a half of the corridor’s operation. Our exports have reached 53 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America. And this result is felt not only in Ukraine, but also in the relevant countries that consume our food. Ukraine, defending itself in this war, also cares about global food security thanks to the work of the sea corridor. Because the sustainability of our maritime industry is not only about the economy, it is also about protecting humanity,” the President noted.
He also expressed gratitude to everyone who made this result possible. First of all, to the Ukrainian soldiers who ensured the return of free navigation and the expulsion of the Russian military fleet.
As previously reported by USM, in January Ukraine exported goods worth $3.1 billion. 6.6 million tons of goods were exported by sea.
