Zelenskyy: Black Sea Corridor will work regardless of Russia’s wishes

The President of Ukraine stressed that ports and sea exports will continue to operate despite the shelling from the Russian Federation.
The Black Sea corridor will continue to operate regardless of whether Russia wants it or not. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during an online press conference, Ukrinform reports.
“The corridor is working and will continue to work, even despite the attacks on it, which, unfortunately, are taking place. That is, whether Russia wants it or not, the corridor will function,” the head of state stressed.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that ports are civilian infrastructure, and the situation with their security may change in the near future.
“I think that we will have some progress in the coming days,” the president noted.
Meanwhile, the United States is trying to influence the situation through diplomatic means. Yesterday, March 18, US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, which lasted more than an hour and a half. The Trump administration said that Moscow had allegedly agreed to a “limited ceasefire” on Ukrainian energy and infrastructure facilities as part of a US initiative for a peaceful settlement.
As a reminder, on March 11, the invaders struck the port of Odesa. A ballistic missile hit the Barbados-flagged MJ PINA, killing four Syrian citizens aged 18 to 24. Two more people — a Ukrainian and a Syrian — were injured.
