10 military sailors of Ukraine were returned from captivity


Ukraine returned 95 Ukrainian servicemen, including 10 military sailors, from Russian captivity.

Another 95 Ukrainian soldiers were released from Russian captivity, the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported.

Among them are 49 soldiers of the Armed Forces, including a soldier who voluntarily agreed to fly to Azovstal on a helicopter to help the blocked units. Also, 21 National Guardsmen, 10 military sailors, seven from the Territorial Defense Forces forces, five border guards, two soldiers from the State Special Transport Service and one defender from the voluntary formation of the territorial community were released from captivity.

The United Arab Emirates acted as a mediator in the issue of the release of the Ukrainian military.

Earlier, USM reported that soldiers of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were returned from Russian captivity.
