The last ship under the “grain agreement” left the port of Chornomorsk
The last ship within the framework of the “grain agreement” left Ukraine, as the further fate of the initiative is currently unknown.
On Wednesday, May 17, the last ship with Ukrainian agricultural products left Ukraine through the “grain corridor”.
The ship DSM Capella left the port of Chornomorsk with 30,000 tons of corn. It is headed for Turkey, according to the UN.
Data from MarineTraffic also confirm that the ship left the port of Chornomorsk on the morning of May 17 and headed for Istanbul
Despite the fact that, according to the agreement, the “grain initiative” is extended for 120 days, in March Russia agreed to only 60 days – until May 18. The terrorist country is blackmailing the world with a food crisis, and in return demands to connect Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT, remove sanctions in the insurance sector and access to ports, unblock the operation of the Togliatti-Odesa ammonia pipeline, etc.
According to the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, Serhiy Kislytsia, Russia is still pretending to lose in the Grain Agreement.
“I will not even remind the Security Council about the immorality of such complaints from the aggressor state, which was and remains the only threat to food supplies on the Black Sea,” Kyslytsia emphasized.
In January-February 2023, the export of Russian wheat almost doubled, compared to the same period last year.
He also reminded that the Russian Federation prevents the transportation of Ukrainian grain by sea. Thus, the work of the “grain corridor” actually stopped in May. According to him, the date of May 18, to which the Grain Agreement was extended, was determined only because of Russia’s position.
