For the first time in six years there will be no nuclear submarines at the Russian Navy parade
For the first time in six years, nuclear submarines will not take part in the parade of the Russian Navy.
The parade of the Russian Navy will take place on July 30 in St. Petersburg. The parade will not feature nuclear submarines for the first time since 2017, the British Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
According to the agency, on July 12, Russian mass media reported that there will be no nuclear submarines at the parade of the Russian Navy.
This change is probably related, first of all, to the ability to maintain the boats and keep them ready for operation and training.
Also, in the British Ministry of Defense, they do not rule out that nuclear submarines may not actually be on parade due to the concern of the Russian authorities about internal security after the attempted mutiny of the “Wagner” Private Military Campaign.
