34,000 tons of barley were sent by caravan to Constanta
Transshipment of agricultural products to a vessel with a deadweight of more than 45,000 tons is currently underway.
“The Danube Shipping Company is loading a ship with a deadweight of more than 45,000 tons for the first time. In recent weeks, several barge caravans sent 34,000 tons of barley to Constanța from the Danube ports,” the UDS reports.
Currently, this is the largest batch of agricultural products for shipping, which will be exported.
Transshipment of products board-to-board to the sea vessel Ali M is already underway.
“The export operation is carried out within the framework of a single logistics service, which we introduced last year. Caravans are loaded at the UDS stevedore complex in Kili, or other terminals, and head to the port of Constanta, where they are transhipped onto large sea vessels without delay,” the press service added.
