Kuleba: the dispute over agricultural products will not prevent Ukraine from joining the EU
Discussions on agriculture will be the most difficult during the negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU, but this topic will not become an obstacle to future membership.
“Discussions on agriculture will be the most difficult during the negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU. The agricultural policy of the European Union causes many complaints within the Union even now,” said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, in an interview with Forbes.
He emphasized that the agricultural policy of the EU may have to be changed under the pressure of internal factors and the prospect of Ukraine’s membership.
“But I don’t see any risk that the topic of agriculture will become an obstacle on Ukraine’s path to EU membership. Solutions will be found,” the minister is convinced.
