A Ukrainian agricultural company evaded paying taxes for 7 million

The company, which was engaged in the export of agricultural products, avoided paying UAH 7 million in taxes.

The officials, who were exposed in tax evasion, have already reimbursed the losses caused to the budget, the Bureau of Economic Security reports.

We are talking about an agricultural company in Odesa region.

“Employees of the company, which was engaged in the export and wholesale trade of agricultural products, entered false information in the income tax declaration during the three quarters of 2023. In particular, they did not fully reflect the amount of profit from exports. In this way, the budget fell short of UAH 7 million,” the report says.

The director of the enterprise was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense, provided for in Part 2 of Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion). Currently, the case has been referred to the court.
