ARMA sells seized Russian ore that was planned to be exported by sea from Odesa

The National Agency for Detection, Tracing and Asset Management (ARMA) has put up for sale more than two thousand tons of seized Russian ore.

This concerns 2,389.5 tons of iron ore pellets belonging to the Russian company Metalloinvest. The auction is scheduled for December 6, according to Prozorro.Sales.

The ore is stored in 35 railway cars in the village of Stari Shompoly in the Odessa region.

The starting price of the batch is UAH 9.616 million. The ore belongs to the Russian mining and metallurgical holding Metalloinvest, which includes leading enterprises in Russia, in particular the Lebedinsky and Mikhailovskyi mining and processing plants, as well as metallurgical plants. The holding also owns 80% of the Hamriyah Steel plant in the United Arab Emirates.

The Russian company imported the ore to Ukraine for further export by sea to third countries. However, law enforcement officers seized the cargo during searches at the Odessa Railway Station.

Earlier, USM reported that ARMA would sell the arrested Russian ship that was blocking the Kerch Strait.
