Romania plans to develop “Neptune” anti-ship missiles together with Ukraine, — media
Romania, together with Ukraine, plans to develop the R-360 “Neptune” anti-ship missiles.
Previously, the Romanian-Ukrainian partnership in the field of military-industrial complex will begin after the end of the war, Newsweek reports.
Unlike the French SCALP-EG missiles, which are launched from the air, the “Neptune” missiles are launched from the ground and can target both land and sea targets with a range of up to 400 kilometers, writes Army Recognition.
These missiles have been used since the beginning of the war, in particular to destroy the Russian cruiser Moskva in 2022. They can potentially compete with the American ATACMS – the only other weapon of a similar range used by Kyiv.
Earlier, USM reported that Ukraine has increased the production of “Neptune” missiles by 10 times.
