The Russian flotilla in the Mediterranean Sea remained without tanker support for a month

Now Russian Mediterranean Fleet will once again be supported by an outdated Soviet ship.
For a whole month, the Russian Navy group in the Mediterranean operated without a tanker — a key element for supporting operations. This was reported by the OSINT project Russian Forces Spotter.
The tanker Kama arrived in the Mediterranean only on September 18. It replaced the oil tanker Vyazma, which left the region on August 19.
Both tankers were commissioned back in 1978 and are now Soviet “veterans” over 45 years old. Analysts emphasize that the ability of the Russian Mediterranean Flotilla to support operations in the Mediterranean depends critically on these outdated auxiliary vessels.
Also, the day before, USM wrote that the Russians were never able to restore the damaged submarine Rostov-on-Don.
