A gas tanker with the seventh batch of gas from the sanctioned Arctic LNG-2 arrived in China

The Arctic Vostok gas tanker carrying cargo from the Russian Arctic LNG-2 project has docked at the Chinese terminal in Beihai, Guangxi Province.
If the vessel unloads LNG, it will be the seventh batch China has received from the plant in recent times, Reuters reports.
The Arctic Vostok loaded gas at a transshipment facility in Kamchatka on August 30, and according to LSEG, on September 6. Beihai LNG has so far only received shipments from this project.
Despite the sanctions, since last year the Russians have been shipping gas from the Arctic LNG-2 to two domestic hubs and to China. Several more tankers from the plant are currently heading east or are already off the coast of China.
As a reminder, the first batch arrived at the end of August on the “Arctic Mulan” vessel, and the second on the “Voskhod” gas tanker, shortly after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to China to participate in the SCO summit and military parade.
