Great Britain has imposed new sanctions against Russia: in particular, on tankers, Rosneft and Lukoil

Britain has imposed sanctions on two of Russia’s largest oil companies and tankers of the so-called “shadow fleet”.
The UK government website reported about it.
Among the main targets in the list of 90 sanctions restrictions are Russia’s largest oil and gas companies, Rosneft and Lukoil, which together export 3.1 million barrels of oil per day.
Restrictions have also been imposed on Russian tankers, Chinese oil refining terminals and LNG terminals in Beihai, China.
“Today’s actions demonstrate the government’s determination to cut off Putin’s revenue streams – they are directed against Russian companies and their global partners. Four oil terminals in China, 44 tankers of the “shadow fleet” carrying Russian oil, and Nayara Energy Limited, which imported 100 million barrels of Russian crude oil worth more than five billion dollars in 2024 alone, have all been hit by this new wave of sanctions,” the British government said in a statement. As previously reported by USM, the EU is proposing sanctions against companies that provided false flags to the Russian “shadow fleet”.
