Over 680 Ukrainian port infrastructure facilities destroyed or damaged, — Kuleba


Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, 686 port infrastructure facilities of Ukraine have been damaged and destroyed.

This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to him, logistics in wartime is a critically important component of national security, which is why Russia systematically attacks ports, railways, roads and other transport infrastructure.

Thus, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russians have damaged and destroyed 686 port infrastructure facilities, 150 civilian vessels, 224 civilians, including foreign citizens, were injured.

“The enemy has inflicted more than 4,700 strikes on the infrastructure of Ukrzaliznytsia, almost 24 thousand facilities have been damaged. Since the beginning of the year alone, 266 strikes on rolling stock and railway facilities have been recorded,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Oleksiy Kuleba also informed about the key results of the port industry.

“Thanks to the stable operation of six seaports and the functioning of the Ukrainian maritime corridor, 173 million tons of cargo were transported, including over 103 million tons of grain,” the minister noted.
