On the night of April 16, a fire broke out at the Tuapse Refinery in the Krasnodar Territory, Russia, after nighttime explosions. Three tanks may be burning at the enterprise, ASTRA reports.
The Tuapse Refinery is one of the key oil refining assets in the Krasnodar Territory. The operator of the enterprise is LLC RN-Tuapse Refinery, which is part of Rosneft.
It is important that the plant operates as a single production complex with a marine terminal for petroleum product supply, which gives it additional importance for fuel logistics via the Black Sea route.
Earlier this month, an oil depot that supplies the Russian army with fuel burned in occupied Feodosia.
