The invaders’ maritime logistics in Crimea have almost exhausted their reserves, — Navy

Russia has lost the ability to use railway ferries for military logistics between the Krasnodar Territory and the temporarily occupied Crimea.
No railway ferry is currently operating in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was stated by the spokesman for the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, on the air of a national telethon, writes Ukrinform.
“For a long time, we have been observing how the number of radar stations is gradually decreasing, and how various means of destruction are gradually entering these “holes” in the air defense system. Then we began to observe how logistics are being cut off. Before that, in principle, it all started with the destruction of the main means of naval logistics – large landing ships. Then it was the turn of railway ferries, of which none are currently operating,” Pletenchuk said.
At the same time, according to him, Russia still has several automobile ferries at its disposal, which theoretically can be used to transport trucks. However, their throughput capacity is significantly inferior to the capabilities of the railway ferry.
The Navy also notes that in such conditions the occupiers are increasingly forced to rely on the Crimean Bridge, although its use for military logistics is also limited by both security considerations and the consequences of previous Ukrainian strikes.
According to Pletenchuk, the Ukrainian side currently has no information about the resumption of rail transportation of military cargo such as fuel or armored vehicles to Crimea.
The spokesman emphasized that the main route for supplying Russian troops is currently overland, but its proximity to the front line makes this route increasingly vulnerable to strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As an alternative, Russia can use air transport, however, according to the Navy, it is not able to replace rail logistics due to its significantly higher cost, smaller transportation volumes, and complexity of organization.
Recall that the day before, the Defense Forces struck oil terminals in the ports of Kerch and Kavkaz. The strikes on these facilities were part of a broader operation targeting targets near the Crimean Bridge and in occupied Crimea. According to preliminary data, military logistics facilities, radar stations from the S-400 air defense system, and Pantsir complexes were also hit.
