Port businesses will be able to submit their projects to attract international funding to restore damaged infrastructure.
The Ministry of Development plans to form a list of private port business projects that require funding for restoration after Russian attacks.
This was discussed during a meeting of the Coordination Council for the Development of a Competitive Environment in Seaports.
Currently, the ministry is already negotiating with international partners on financing the restoration of state infrastructure. Now they plan to involve private business in this process.
Port enterprises must provide information about their projects and financing needs. This includes the possibility of attracting grants, soft loans, technical and donor assistance.
The Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Economy will present these projects during negotiations with international partners and investors.
Port enterprises were also recommended to record losses from Russian attacks in the National Register of Losses. In the future, they can use this data to receive compensation and insure against military risks.
In addition, from July 1, small and medium-sized businesses will be able to receive loans for the restoration of damaged property under the program “Affordable Loans 5–7–9%. In the first two years, the rate will be 0.1%.
Earlier it became known that four applicants were admitted to the competition for the concession of the Chornomorsk port terminals.
