The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned the attacks on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, which caused injuries to Ukrainians.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned the attacks on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, as a result of which Ukrainians were injured.

This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha on the X social network.

“We strongly condemn the Iranian missile attacks on Emirati oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, as a result of which two Ukrainian citizens were injured,” he wrote.

Sybiga said that currently the Ukrainian diplomatic missions in the UAE and Oman are closely cooperating with the relevant authorities in order to provide the necessary assistance to the wounded Ukrainians.

“Attacks on commercial shipping threaten regional stability, freedom of navigation and global energy security. We call for the immediate cessation of hostilities and the full restoration of the strait,” the minister emphasized.

It will be recalled that two UAE tankers were hit by Iranian missiles: a sailor was killed, and two Ukrainians were among the wounded.
