The Defense Intelligence first used Magura naval platforms to strike ground targets in Crimea

During the operation in the occupied Crimea, Ukrainian Magura drones were first used to strike ground-based radar facilities of the Russian army.

The Defense Intelligence Group 13 special unit struck two Russian radar facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea at the end of July. This was reported by the intelligence press service.

During the operation, the drones hit a control machine from the Podleot radar complex, as well as a state-of-the-art friend-and-foe recognition system — the Parol-4 radar interrogator.

To accomplish the task, the Ukrainian military used the latest Magura naval platforms, in particular modifications equipped with FPV drone carriers. This made it possible to strike ground targets directly from naval unmanned platforms.

“From now on, our Maguras threaten the Russian occupiers on land as well — this is a radical shift in the struggle to another plane. In general, our operations during the war with the Russian aggressor confirm that the invaders in Crimea will have no place either in the water area, in the sky over the Black Sea, or on the Crimean land. Crimea is Ukraine,” said the commander of Group 13 with the call sign “Thirteenth”.

The Defense Intelligence also recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Group 13 operators, according to the agency, have destroyed nine and damaged five Russian ships, eliminated three helicopters, damaged another one, and also destroyed two fighters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Also, the day before, USM wrote that the sanctioned container ship Rosatom sank after the Ukrainian strike.
