The Ministry of Agrarian Policy asked the EU to compensate for €1.1 billion in logistical losses

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy has appealed to the European Union with a request to compensate for €1.1 billion in logistical losses caused by Russian shelling.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Golovnya during the Export Forum of Economic Truth.
According to him, a corresponding letter has already been sent to the EU, and the issue of allocating compensation is currently being worked on.
Separately, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy has appealed to the European Union regarding compensation for interest on portfolio guarantees in the amount of €220 million.
Golovnya noted that work on this mechanism is also ongoing.
The need to support Ukrainian export logistics has increased against the backdrop of Russian attacks on port and transport infrastructure, which increase exporters’ costs and force them to reorient some cargo to more expensive alternative routes.
Earlier, USM reported that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy has collected more than $45 million for programs to support temporary grain storage facilities.
