Ukrzaliznytsia has limited grain transportation to Hungary and Pola

The restrictions are in effect from October 26 until canceled and apply to four foreign carriers.
JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” has restricted the transportation of grain cargo to Hungary through the Batyovo station for the TransRail carrier. This is evidenced by the company’s list of conventional prohibitions.
The restriction applies to grain and leguminous crops, seeds, as well as oilseed cake and meal.
In total, since October 26, UZ has introduced five conventional prohibitions for foreign carriers. In addition to grain restrictions, the transportation of ore for the Rail Cargo Hungaria company through the same Batyovo crossing has been restricted.
Two restrictions apply to the Polish direction. The acceptance of all cargo for the IRT carrier through the Yagodyn station and for the Rail STM carrier through the Mostyska II station has been prohibited. All restrictions are in effect until canceled.
Ukrzaliznytsia traditionally applies conventional prohibitions when queues of wagons accumulate at border crossings. Currently, the company plans to introduce a clear mechanism for applying such restrictions precisely during critical queues.
Recall, according to Spike Brokers, as of October 21, the accumulation of grain cars amounted to 4,373 units, and western crossings account for more than 80% of rail grain exports due to the de facto blockade of the ports of Great Odesa.
As USM reported the day before, rail grain deliveries to ports fell by half in October.
