A work will be find for the Odesa Port Plant during wartime — State Property Fund

The State Property Fund will look for ways to deal with the activities of the Odesa Port Plant during the war.

The Odesa port plant has stopped working since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russian federation into Ukraine. On February 24, the plant stopped all production processes and stopped receiving ammonia from the ammonia pipeline. The plant planned to resume work from June 1, but  could not due to russian missile attacks on Odesa region.

In fact, the plant has not been fully operational since last year. Last year in September, Odesa Port Plant  suspended its work due to record gas prices. In November, the plant stopped producing ammonia and urea, but the company continued to supply medical oxygen to “covid” hospitals. The employees of the plant were transferred to a 3-day work week with a corresponding reduction in wages.

Also in 2021, the Singapore company Dachex Shipping Pte. Ltd. refused to sign a contract with Odesa Port Plant for the processing of raw materials. The company accused the representatives of the plant of negligence in drawing up the procedure for the selection of the customer for the processing of raw materials, which it won.

Currently, the state, on behalf of the State Property Fund, owns 99.5667% of the plant shares. For several years now, the plant has been on the list of enterprises that are preparing for privatization.

This year, in October, the head of the Federal State of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov and his deputies inspected the work and current state of the Odesa Port Plant. Next, the State Property Fund will decide how the plant can be used in wartime conditions.
