Agroholding Kernel sold a vessel and three grain storage facilities
The Ukrainian agricultural company received $7.4 million for the sale of the vessel.
In the current fiscal year (July 2023 — June 2024), Kernel Agricultural Holding sold one of its previously purchased vessels. This is reported by Elevatorist.
After the stabilization of deep-sea exports in Ukraine and the improvement of the market situation, the company decided to sell the Eneida bulker. This decision is due to the fact that the vessel was of limited importance to Kernel’s export operations. The sale took place in April 2024, the company received $7.4 million for the vessel.
Also in the reporting period, Kernel sold three granaries. For example, in September 2023, the company sold a floor warehouse in the Kharkiv region for $1.1 million, and in June 2024 – two grain warehouses in the Poltava region for $1.7 million.
It will be recalled that in October 2023, Kernel started forming its own sea fleet, having acquired two ships for the transportation of goods in the Black Sea – Eneida and Mavka. In December 2023, the company added another bulker with a deadweight of 50,000 tons to its fleet.
As USM wrote, Kernel recently received a $150 million loan from a syndicate of European banks.
