Britain will allocate $155 million for naval support to Ukraine

Great Britain will allocate an additional $155 million for naval support to Ukraine.

Russia has stepped up attacks on Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea, delaying the arrival of vital aid to the Palestinians and halting grain shipments to the global south, the UK government said.

The Russian attacks, in particular, are believed to have delayed a World Food Program shipment of vegetable oil to Palestine by the MV Shui Spirit. Also, the strikes damaged ships with grain for Egypt, two ships with corn that Ukraine supplies to China, as well as World Food Program cargo bound for South Africa.

Britain will donate an additional 120 million pounds ($155 million) to the Maritime Capability Coalition and is seeking partners to co-fund the delivery of hundreds of maritime drones as well as surveillance radars to protect the grain corridor.

Earlier, USM reported that Great Britain was the first to allocate almost 3 billion dollars to support Ukraine through the G7 mechanism.
