Capesize with thermal coal successfully passed the corridor in the Black Sea

SE “Commercial Seaport Yuzhny” started unloading the seventh vessel with a batch of thermal coal for Centrenergo.

The Maran Excellence vessel (Malta flag) moored at berth No. 5 of Yuzhny port on February 17th, the company’s press service reported.

A capesize bulk carrier with a deadweight of more than 180,000 tons delivered 160,000 tons of Colombian coal to Ukraine for the generation of PJSC Centrenergo.

“Such a significant batch of coal was delivered for the first time to Centrenergo by sea in accordance with the contracts concluded with international traders,” the press service of the port said.

It is noted that, despite the difficult situation that has developed in the Black Sea due to the exercises of the Russian Federation, the vessel successfully passed through a safe corridor to the Ukrainian port and arrived at its destination according to the schedule.

Til the end of February this year, PJSC “Centrenergo” expects the next two vessels. The total volume of next ship supplies is 214 thousand tons.
