Denmark and Ukraine discussed cooperation in port development

The Ministry of Development of Ukraine held a meeting with the Danish Ambassador on the restoration of the maritime industry of Ukraine.

First Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories Alyona Shkrum and Deputy Minister Maryna Denisyuk held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark Ole Egberg Mikkelsen.
Among the key topics of the event were the Strategy of Danish-Ukrainian Cooperation for 2025-2028, restoration of the maritime industry, as well as support for the city of Mykolaiv, in particular, in the field of water supply. The participants of the meeting also discussed the Ukrainian-Estonian Plan for the Restoration of the Maritime Industry of Ukraine.
“In particular, the plan covers key areas of the maritime industry of Ukraine, including shipbuilding, modernization of the fleet, development of ports, demining of the water area, creation of jobs and conducting marine research,” the ministry said.
It should be noted that Denmark, Norway and other countries should also join the implementation of this plan in order to achieve pan-European maritime security.
