During the year, Pivdennyi port processed more than 3 million tons of cargo

In 2022, SE Pivdennyi Sea Trade Port processed 3.2 million tons. Most of the cargo traffic was export cargo.

The processing of export cargo amounted to 2.2 million tons (or 68% of cargo turnover), import cargo – 608.2 thousand tons, transit cargo – 137.9 thousand tons, the company’s press service reported.

The State Stevedoring Company effectively supports the electricity generation of Ukraine. During January and February, port workers processed thermal coal for Ukrainian thermal power plants and elements for wind power plants. In total, 591.1 thousand tons of coal and 17.1 thousand tons of equipment were transshipped.

Also, the Pivdennyi port shipped 2.1 million tons of iron ore raw materials from Ukrainian producers and 183.5 thousand tons of pig iron.

In the second half of the year, processing of grain cargoes became key. State stevedore shipped 330.4 thousand tons of Ukrainian agricultural products. The structure of freight traffic includes meal, seeds, wheat, corn, etc.

In total, 59 vessels, including 18 large-tonnage bulkers of the Capesize type, were handled near the berths of Pivdennyi MTP. The number of processed semi-wagons is 47,697.
