In October, Ukraine exported half as much grain as last year

This month, Ukraine exported 1.81 million tons of grain. For the same period last year — 3.652 million tons.

As of October 25, since the beginning of the 2023/24 FY, Ukraine has exported 8.562 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

Of these, 1.81 million tons were shipped in the current month. While as of October 28, 2022, the total figure for shipments was 12.344 million tons, and in October – 3.652 million tons.

In terms of crops, since the beginning of the current season, the following have been exported:

• wheat – 4.284 million tons (in 2022/23 MR – 4.679 million tons);

• barley – 664 thousand tons (1.046 million tons);

• rye – 0.9 thousand tons (6.2 thousand tons);

• corn – 3.493 million tons (6.574 million tons).
