In Warsaw, an innovative methodology was developed for container logistics between Ukraine and Baltic ports.

Recently, representatives of LTG Cargo Ukraine met with colleagues from TLSC Poland, Levada Cargo and GenCargo in Warsaw, Rail.insider reports.

It raised the issue of developing container logistics from Ukraine to the ports of the Baltic region.

Company representatives discussed how to improve transportation of key bulk cargoes such as canola, grain and corn.

One of the significant results of the meeting was the development of a new strategy aimed at optimizing logistics processes. In particular, an innovative technique was proposed: after the delivery of loose goods, the containers are loaded with general cargo for transportation from Klaipeda.

This approach makes it possible to significantly reduce the number of empty containers that return to Ukraine, which, in turn, reduces costs and increases the efficiency of the logistics chain.

“The pilot project implemented by the LTG Cargo Ukraine team in the fall of 2023 became a vivid example of the successful integration of the new strategy,” the post emphasizes.
