Lithuania insists on new sanctions against Russian exports

In Lithuania, they are insisting that the 14 package of sanctions against the Russian Federation include Rosatom, companies that export LNG and aluminum, and more Russian banks.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda assures that Rosatom and exporters of aluminum and natural gas should be included in the 14th package of sanctions against Russia. “European Truth” writes about it.

“Even if the effect of the sanctions was lower than our expectations, we must continue — and we must introduce more sectoral sanctions, because they are the most effective,” the head of state emphasized.

According to Nauseda, Russian grain has become a real problem, not only economic, but also political. At the same time, the EU should continue the fight against Russian sanctions circumvention.

USM recently wrote that 5 European countries are calling for a ban on the import of Russian grain to the EU.

Previously, Lithuania completely banned the import of Russian LNG at the state level.
