Lithuania raised $250,000 for a maritime drone for Ukraine

Lithuanian journalist Andryus Tapinas, together with the people of Lithuania, raised $250,000 for a marine drone for Ukraine.

The money will be transferred through the UNITED24 platform. When choosing the name, the Lithuanians decided to wish peace to the Black Sea Fleet of russian federation in an original way, so the name of the drone is “PEACE Dec”, journalist Andryus Tapinas wrote on Twitter.

As USM wrote earlier, fundraising for the world’s first naval drone fleet was launched in Ukraine. Ukrainians have already raised funds for four naval drones.

The names of the four future boats are also known: “Kherson”, “Sevastopol”, “Mariupol” and “Bakhmut”.
