“Metinvest” products were the first non-grain cargo in the maritime corridor

The products of the “Metinvest” group were among the first non-grain cargoes that began to be shipped by ships from the ports of Great Odesa.

After the opening of the sea corridor, Ukraine began to send ships not only with grain, but also with metal products, “Metinvest” reported.

“When this temporary corridor was opened, the first ships after agricultural products were with Metinvest products. I am grateful to the Defense Forces, intelligence, our partners who made this possible. And now it opens new horizons for both the company and the country as a whole for 2024 and future years. But this is only the beginning. We need to work further. The opening of the sea corridor, thanks to the efforts of the Ukrainian authorities, made it possible to increase the volume of exports, although some difficulties with logistics still remain,” commented the general director of the group Yurii Ryzhenkov.

It will be recalled that in 2023 “Metinvest” sent almost two million tons of cargo through Polish seaports and railways.
