MIU wants to change the procedure for registering shipping lines

The Ministry of Infrastructure has published a draft order on amendments to the Instruction on the registration of foreign navigation lines.

The document was developed to improve the procedure for registering shipping lines, delimiting linear and tramp operations, stimulating the development of freight and passenger traffic, as well as “avoiding the unjustified provision of discounts on port dues”.

The implementation of the act will make it possible to establish clear criteria for classifying transportation as linear, as well as reduce corruption risks in the field of registration of foreign navigation lines.

More details on the draft order can be found on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
