More than 10,000 sailors used the service to obtain a record book
More than 10,000 maritime workers used the service to obtain a record book in Ukraine.
Nine months ago, sailors were able to receive service records by mail, without personal communication with officials, said Yevgenii Ignatenko, the head of the Shipping Administration.
During this time, 7,482 seafarer record books were sent by the Shipping Administration by mail, another 2,544 were received with the help of SE “Morrichservice”, where the service can be obtained both by mail and in person or through a representative.
How to get a seafarer’s record book by mail:
• collect all the necessary package of documents, to which add the receipt for the payment of UAH 245.28 for the official form;
• send a package of documents to the Shipping Administration by mail;
• wait for the application to be processed and, upon positive consideration, receive the document at the address specified in the guarantee letter.
It is important that each copy of the document attached by the seafarer to the application must be certified (signed) by the seafarer.
USM previously reported that the Inspectorate for Certification of Seafarers was liquidated in Ukraine.
