NATO Secretary General commented on the sinking of the Russian ship

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg commented on Ukraine’s recent successes in the Black Sea.

The Secretary General of NATO spoke to journalists before the meeting of the Alliance’s defense ministers, writes European Pravda. 

According to him, Ukraine also managed to repel the Russian fleet from the Western part of the Black Sea, which is a great achievement. It also increases allies’ optimism about the military capabilities of the Armed Forces.

“We are all disappointed that last year’s counterattack was not more successful. But it must be remembered that although the front line did not move, Ukraine was able to attack far behind the front line and on the ground, destroying important facilities, including Russian aircraft (at airfields), and at sea, continuing to destroy the Russian fleet,” he said. Jens Stoltenberg.

He also noted that now the Ukrainian grain export corridor is working even without agreements with the Russians.

“And this is a demonstration of the capabilities of the Armed Forces. This happened primarily thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, although the help of the allies was also important,” the NATO Secretary General emphasized.

We will remind, explosions were heard on the southern coast of Crimea on February 14 at 06:04 in the morning. Soon it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, sank the Russian Large Landing Craft “Cesar Kunikov”.

As previously reported by the USM, the Russian ship was destroyed with the help of Magura V5 marine attack drones.
